From City Girl LaTonya ~ This is a quick message for my sisters on the natural hair journey and anyone with curly hair who'd like the info. So, I have not used shampoo in my hair in well over a month. Why you ask? Because on the recommendation of Kellan A. Pilot, I started using City Girls Soap to wash my hair and it has been transformative!!! City Girls Soap is a local company here in Berkley that makes goats milk soap (I know I've mentioned them before, but this stuff is awesome and every time I find a new use for it, I'm gonna mention it).
My hair is cleaner, softer and so much easier to detangle. My scalp is cleaner and feels less gunky. I use so much less conditioner and curl cream to finish it, and I've got the most defined curl pattern with a whole lot less frizz than before. I'm losing about 1/5 of the hair I used to in the detangling process and I'm seeing growth retention! The only change I've made to my regimen is to use the CGS soap instead of shampoo and to finger detangle and style (haven't used a comb in 2 months). I've spent TONS of $$ and time trying to find products that would give me curl definition without frizz and this gives me what I've been looking for. If I only used it on my hair, a bar would last me about 3-4 months, but I also use it in the shower so it goes faster than that.
If you want to check out their website go to www.citygirlssoap.com/. They have quite a few scents available, but I get Unscented, Milk and Honey, or Oatmeal Honey because those scents are so complementary to everything else that I use.
Next up I'm going to sample their laundry flakes! ... See MoreSee Less
